Philip Carne, MBE

Philip Carne is a British philanthropist. In 2006 he established The Carne Trust to support young talent in the Performing Arts. Gergana Raykova was his very first scholar at The Royal College of Music. Over the past 20 years he has supported over 300 young actors, playwrights, directors, musicians, singers and chamber music groups, and received many honours from academies and cultural institutions.

A Personal Message from the Founder

My deepest thanks to Philip Carne for his unwavering support and belief in this artistic vision from the very beginning. Being named the first scholar of his trust was a life-changing milestone that shaped my path as a violinist, and bringing this inaugural festival to life under his distinguished patronage is both a profound honour and a beautiful new chapter for our shared dedication to the art form of chamber music.

With my deepest gratitude,

Gergana Raykova
